Acework — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Acework ("we", "our", "Acework") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use the Acework mobile application and related services ("Service").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Account information: email, password (hashed), display name, handle, profile photo.
• Tennis profile: NTRP level, country, city, preferred hand.
• Match records: match scores, opponents, locations, photos uploaded as score evidence.
• Club information: clubs you create or join, member roles.
• Communications: messages sent through the app, support emails.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device information: device type, OS version, app version, device push notification token.
• Approximate location: city-level location (derived from IP) used to display nearby pickups and tournaments. We do NOT collect precise GPS unless you explicitly attach a court photo.
• Usage data: features used, screens viewed, crashes (for app stability).

1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not access your contacts, photo library (except photos you choose to upload), microphone, or precise GPS without your explicit action.
• We do not sell personal data to third parties.
• We do not display ads.

2. How We Use Information

• Authenticate you and maintain your account.
• Match you with players, tournaments, and clubs in your city.
• Compute your Acework Rating from verified match results.
• Send push notifications you have opted in to (match invitations, league assignments, club activities).
• Improve and debug the Service (aggregated, anonymized).
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Information

• With other users: your public profile (handle, display name, city, NTRP, rating, win/loss record) is visible to other signed-in users to support matchmaking and leaderboards.
• Service providers: we use Google Firebase (authentication, database, push notifications, hosting) and Apple Push Notification service. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.
• Legal: when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

4. Data Retention

• Account data is retained until you delete your account.
• Match evidence photos are auto-deleted 2 days after verification.
• You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. Deletion removes your profile and handle; match history referencing your previous user id remains in aggregated form.

5. Children's Privacy

Acework is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, please contact us and we will delete it.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data (via Profile settings or by emailing us).
• Opt out of push notifications (in Profile settings).
• Request a copy of your data (email us).
• Withdraw consent at any time.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security (HTTPS, Firebase Auth, encrypted at rest). No system is 100% secure; please use a strong unique password.

8. International Transfers

Acework is operated from Canada/the United States. By using the Service you consent to data being processed in those countries.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
